Camp Aleph Day #1
Camp Aleph Day #1
Camp Aleph is off to a smashing start! Today's theme was kindness and sharing! Loads of fun with scratch off hearts, decorating cups, playing sports, experimenting with bubbles, swimming (so awesome in this weather!), a puzzle hunt (every piece is needed to create a whole), and some mad science (a milky kaleidoscope). Resting up for a fun-tastic Trip Day tomorrow!
Camp Aleph Day #2
Camp Aleph Day #2
Wow! What an incredible day! Theme of the day was kindness to animals. We had so much fun with Bead Art, learning the Camp Aleph Theme Song, a Scavenger Hunt at the Farmer's Market, meeting so many exotic animals at the farm, making banana sushi, gymnastics and creating Lava Lamps. Gotta get some rest for another awesome day tomorrow!
Camp Aleph Day #3
Camp Aleph Day #3
OMG, what a blast! From Playdough art, to Basketball with Coach Becca, Cartooning with Mark, a Rubber Band Hunt, Swimming Fun, Shaving Cream Twister, and a grand finale of a diet coke & mentos mad science experiment. Whoa!
Camp Aleph Day #4
Camp Aleph Day #4
Wow! The fun continues at Camp Aleph. After starting off with Silly Hat Day, we were off to Rebounderz Rohnert Park for some extreme fun. Jumping, bouncing, climbing, air basketball, and a serious Ninja Warrior course. We celebrated two campers' Jewish birthday (it's a thing - www.JewishPetaluma.com/Birthday). Then it was on to the Build a Tzedakah Box Workshop, making stained glass Charity boxes, and playing all sorts of charity themed carnival games (my favorite was a contest for who could hold an ice "coin" the longest), and some mad science to clean your pennies!
Camp Aleph Day #5
Camp Aleph Day #5
Ending off week #1 on a high! The campers got to bake their own Challah, face off in relay races, were treated to a magic show, fun in the sun, a Shabbat party, and they got to purchase prizes in the Camp Store with their camp dollars. After a break for Shabbat, we'll be back next week with loads more fun! Shabbat Shalom from all of us at Camp Aleph!
Camp Aleph Smiley Day
Camp Aleph Smiley Day
Week #2 got off to a smashing start with a whirlwind of fun! It was Smiley Day, so we learned about how everything we do should be done with joy. The campers made Pearler Bead smileys, decorated smiley cookies, and made emoji pillows. Sports was an awesome game of Capture the Flag, we measured lots of stuff in Pickle Meter, smiled underwater as we went swimming, and ended off the day with a Glow in the Dark party (including bowling, tic-tac-toe, freeze dance and more) and Jelly Bean science!
Camp Aleph visits the Fire Station!
Camp Aleph visits the Fire Station!
Gratitude was the theme of the day! We made a ginormous Thank You card for our firefighter heroes at Petaluma Fire Department and got a grand tour of Petaluma's oldest fire station! On the way we had an Alef Bet hunt. After a picnic lunch in walnut park and making a Camp Aleph mural with leaves and flowers, the campers were treated to some slurpees! Back at camp, we got Martial Arts training (including nunchucks), we made Shrinky-Dinks with our names, and ended the day with making Slime!
Camp Aleph Car Wash
Camp Aleph Car Wash
We started with International Day and some competitive sports, made clay hand shaped dishes, played friend bingo, and after swimming washed the camp car! Science was dancing raisins.

Another thrilling day at Camp! Shooting for the stars at minigolf, spinning and bumping in the Spin Zone. Back at camp we had a bean hunt, followed by an exciting chinese auction where the teams had a bidding war for some awesome prizes! Can't believe tomorrow is the last day!!
