Celebration

  • ClipartKey_705740.png In Jewish tradition, a Torah is welcomed to the community as a new bride and groom are celebrated by their families and friends. The Torah is introduced under a traditional marriage canopy (Chuppah) and is accompanied by music and festivities. Every community member is an integral part of the celebration - just as a family member is to the wedding.

Please join us in writing history by dedicating a part of the Torah and by participating in the festive celebration. On August 22nd, a scribe, pious and skilled, will handwrite the last letters of the Torah right here in Petaluma.

Torah-Invite-6-yrs.jpg As we celebrate six years of serving the Petaluma Jewish community, the Chabad Jewish Center’s new scroll will become the latest link in a timeless chain.

By dedicating a part of this Torah, you could be a part of this historic community event. For dedication opportunities click here .

Torah Celebration is FREE and open to the entire community.
